My Approach

At Omoiyari Therapy, I work specifically with neurodivergent adults who are tired of trying to fit into neurotypical moulds. As a neurodivergent therapist myself, I get it—not from a textbook, but from lived experience. I know what it's like when your brain works differently, and I'm here to help you work with it, not against it.

My person-centred approach means you're at the centre of your therapy experience. I create a safe, neurodiversity-affirming space where you can show up exactly as you are without judgment, masking, or having to explain why certain things are just harder for you.—so stim freely, avoid eye contact, fidget, or have the lights dimmed. Your comfort matters here, and I'm happy to make accommodations that help you feel at ease.

Here's the thing: I'm not here to tell you what to do or "fix" you. You're the expert on your own inner world, and you have what it takes to find your way through. Sometimes we just need someone who speaks our language to walk alongside us while we figure it out.

I'm gently rebellious in my approach—trauma-informed and ready to challenge the idea that you need to be "less neurodivergent" to be happy. Together, we'll explore what's blocking you from living authentically, whether it's internalised shame, burnout, or the exhausting weight of masking. Feeling stuck doesn't make you broken, worthless, or unlovable. It makes you human.

The work we do can be as gentle or as challenging as you want, but I'll be honest: sometimes therapy feels worse before it feels better. Growth isn't always comfortable. But often, the only way out is through—and you don't have to do it alone.
